Lake Afton Observatory

The Observatory is located about 20 miles southwest of downtown Wichita on MacArthur Road at 247th Street West in Lake Afton County Park. Admission to the Observatory is $8.00 for adults (14+), $7 for seniors, and $4.00 for children ages 5-13; children under 5 are admitted free.  Family admission (2 adults and all children in the family) is only $20.

Yearly memberships at the Lake Afton Observatory are a great value: $24 Adults, $12 Youth, $21 Senior, $60 Family

The Observatory hours change depending on the season:

• October-February: 7:30pm – 10:00pm
• March: 8:00pm – 10:00pm
• April: 8:30pm – 10:30pm
• May-August: 9:00pm – 11:00pm
• September: 8:00pm – 10:00pm
