The buttons have been available online at the early-bird price, but beginning on Monday, April 9, you can buy your Riverfest buttons in person at the early-bird price.
This year was the first year you could get your Riverfest buttons at the earlybird price online at Ticketfly! (But as reader Kat pointed out in the comments, the service fee eats up your discount, so there’s an advantage to buying them in person April 9 through May 5, 2018.)
Whichever way you buy them, for longtime Wichitans who are still getting used to the idea of a $10 Riverfest button (still a steal, by the way, in my opinion), the earlybird pricing is a nice gesture! The discount is good on adult and child Riverfest buttons!
With the discount, adult Riverfest buttons are only $7 each. The earlybird price on child Riverfest buttons for children ages 6-12 is only $3 through May 6, which is a great deal! (No button is required for children 5 and younger.)
The Riverfest Button Launch Party will be held at Meineke Car Care Center at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 9. The public is invited to attend, and they will have refreshments, entertainment, balloon twisting, caricature drawing by official 2018 Riverfest artist Joe Worley, and buttons for sale! The mayor will be there, as well as this year’s Admiral Windwagon Smith. Meinecke Car Care is at 925 E. Central in Wichita. The event is FREE, and it should be a fun time if you can make it out!
After the launch, you can still buy your Riverfest buttons at the early-bird price until May 6. Here are the locations where they’re available in Wichita, Hutchinson, and Derby:
