We had a great time at the Wednesday night performance of Walking with Dinosaurs with the winners of the giveaway. Thanks again to INTRUST Bank Arena for arranging it and for such GREAT SEATS!
Below is my little photo-journaling of the event. I couldn’t take flash pictures, but these might give you an idea of just how realistic and HUGE everything was. It was great fun, and the narrator’s character gave everyone facts but in a dramatic, and sometimes humorous, way. My daughter kept an eye on him the whole time, because he was right down there with the dinosaurs so it felt like he could get stepped on or eaten at any time! š
- Happy ticket winners waiting for the show to start. What a nice looking family!
- The huge set dwarfed the narrator, who is that tiny white spot near the edge of the stage.
- Another dino coming out onto the stage–this one’s bigger! (And animatronic.)
- The stegasaurus munching greenery right in front of us!
- This one was fun. Suspended from the ceiling, it looked like it was flying over prehistoric terrain.
- This little bit of unpleasantness explained how dinos would feed and that the weaker dinosaur, over to the right, had to wait until the others were finished.
- Butterflies! I didn’t get a very good shot of it, but this was so cool. The “butterflies” shot up into the air all at once, fluttering in the pretty lights.
