FREE fun and bicycle-related activities are happening on May 18 at the Ozsome Bicycle Festival in OJ Watson Park. Bring bikes and the whole family for a pre-ride safety event and a ride through the park.
At 2 p.m. the pre-ride safety event begins, with bike checks, a helmet giveaway and helmet fittings, safety rodeo, bike “refresher” course for grandparents, and bike map distribution. Then the family rides begin at 3 p.m. You can choose from 1, 2, 5, or 25-mile rides!
(The bicycle event is free, but you will want to bring a little pocket money for concessions and the regular games and rides at OJ Watson Park. Tickets are inexpensive; for example, a $7 ticket package includes the train, mini-golf, and pedal boat ride for one person, or you can pay $2.50 for each activity individually.)
