I met the owner of Chalk with Darcie recently at a Wichita Flea Market and absolutely loved what she’s doing.

Darcie is a Chalk Couture Independent Designer, and these little craft projects are both beautiful AND easy (which is why I loved it). She told me about some upcoming demo classes she’s hosting inside Paramount Marketplace at 13th and Woodlawn.
The classes are a great way to try before you buy, and they’re super inexpensive for what you get. You’ll come away with a project you made that you can either keep in your home or give as a gift.
(p.s. I’m not associated in any way with the product or with Darcie; I’m simply passing along something I saw and was excited about. I hope you get to go to one of her classes, and maybe I’ll see you there, because I want to go and bring a bunch of my friends too.)
For more info about Darcie and to see a schedule of upcoming classes, check out her Facebook page here.
Do you like crafting events like these? Please let me know in the comments which crafting classes you have done and what you liked about them. If you have a tip about other low-priced local crafting clubs or events, please let me know!
The Health Connection in Delano and Rose Hill hosts monthly classes for painting also.
Oh? That’s interesting! I haven’t heard of the Health Connection. What kind of painting classes do they do? And is it only for certain people (or open to the public)?
