Wichitans only have a short drive to make for free tours of a working winery and vineyard, inexpensive wine tastings, and a nice spot for a picnic.
Grace Hill Winery in Whitewater is about 25 minutes north of downtown Wichita and offers tours every day they’re open and wine tastings on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. (Do double-check the schedule as that could change.)
Tours are free and tastings are only $5 per person. They have 3 flights to choose from: a sweet flight, a dry flight, and a “little bit of everything” flight.
Tours will begin at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4 p.m. and will last approximately 20-30 minutes. Do check the website or call to confirm before you drive out, because the schedule may change!
Reservations are not required unless you have a group of 8 or more. Grace Hill does also offer special group events and tours.
Three of Grace Hill’s wines just won “Best in Class” at the Best of Kansas Wine Competition. Check out the Grace Hill website and Facebook page for information, events, pictures and videos.
