Free Roller Skating for Kids

Did you know that you can get 2 FREE skate passes per child per week?! Roller rinks across the country are participating in a national Kids Skate Free program.

The Kids Skate Free program began as a way for children to have fun while also promoting a healthy lifestyle.

To register, all you need is an email address and $4 per child for a one time annual administrative fee. (Paid once a year.)

Kids Skate Free will then email you 2 free passes per child every Monday. Each pass lists the dates and times the passes are good for that week. Print out your weekly passes and show them at the skating rink ticket window. (Some locations may let you show the passes on your phone instead of printing them. Make sure you check with the location near you before trying this option.)

Below is a list of local roller rinks. If you live outside of this area, click on this link to find a participating roller rink near you.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • There is a limit of four kids per email address. If you need to sign up more kids, you will need to set up a new Kids Skate Free account using a secondary email address.
  • The days, hours and age requirements vary by location.
  • Skate rental is not usually included. Each skating center posts their skate rental policy in the right column of their registration page. There is also the option to bring your own skates for free.

In Wichita, Carousel Skate Center is participating in the Kids Skate Free program where kids 12 and younger can participate.

In Hutchinson, Skateland Family Fun Center is participating in the program and kids 10 and younger can participate.

The age restrictions and skating dates and times vary by location. Make sure you double check the availability in your area before you sign up.
