The Tallgrass Film Festival, Music Theater of Wichita, Freddy’s Frozen Custard and other local sponsors will present a FREE screening of Passion, Prejudice and South Pacific: Creating an American Masterpiece. The film is a documentary about South Pacific (the book, the play, and the movie).
The free film screening is open to the public and will be held at the Orpheum Theater in Wichita on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 7 p.m.
The documentary’s director, Steven Smith, will introduce the screening and World War II veteran Freddy Simon will make a special appearance. (They both have local ties: Smith is the brother of MTWichita Director Wayne Bryan, and Simon is the co-founder of Freddy’s Frozen Custard.)
After the screening, TFA will host a “Bubbly & Sweets” soriee at The Lux. Tickets for the soiree are limited and can be purchased online or by calling the Music Theater of Wichita office.
