Live the Good Life for Less & Never Miss a Deal

FREE family-friendly jam sessions at Naftzger Park

Sharing is caring!

The City of Wichita Park and Recreation will be hosting a couple of FREE, family-friendly jam sessions at Naftzger Park this spring! The first one will be on the final Friday of April and they’ll do it again on the last Friday of May.

The jam session will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Evergy Pavilion in Naftzger Park on April 30 and May 28. The DJ duo Fr3edm Music will be there and they’ll have live music as well.

“A variety of styles will be played live and by a DJ during these low-key evenings, but the crowd’s vibes will help guide where the music goes!”

Naftzger Park is brand new as of 2020, remodeled last year with a wide open lawn area where you can spread out your blankets and lawn chairs. It’s located on Douglas Ave. downtown/Old Town between Washington and Broadway streets. Parking is available around the perimeter but you might want to get there early-ish to find the best spot.

You can bring your own snacks and drinks, but no alcohol. (It’s a family-friendly event!) They’ll have social distancing squares set up in the park to help everyone maintain safe spacing between people from different households. They ask that people wear masks when moving through the park, but you can remove them when you’re in your “square.”

Date: Friday, April 30 and Friday, May 28, 2021
Time: 7-9 p.m.
Location: Naftzger Park, 601 E. Douglas, Wichita KS  67202
