Help the Kansas Aviation Museum (KAM) celebrate National Aviation Day with an afternoon of free admission!
The art deco style of the building will take you back in time to the “glory days of Kansas aviation”. What is now the Kansas Aviation Museum was once Wichita’s main airport in the 1930s and 40s – known as Wichita Municipal-ICT. In the 1940’s, it was one of the busiest airports in the nation.
On Sunday, August 19th, come check out the beautiful building, the airplanes and all it has to offer. They’ll have the 727 and KC-135 planes open and available to tour. (As long as the weather permits.)
Museum docents will be available to answer any questions you may have.
In addition to FREE admission on National Aviation Day, KAM will offer membership specials and event venue rental specials.
The Kansas Aviation Museum will be open from noon to 5 p.m. and is located at 3350 S. George Washington Blvd. in Wichita, KS.
