Live the Good Life for Less & Never Miss a Deal

2022 Fair Food & Tunes from Kansas State Fair

Sharing is caring!

The Kansas State Fair organizers are bringing back a fun event in June 25.

Enjoy some great music and your favorite fair cuisine in Hutchinson for FREEEE (just $5 parking fee per car if you want on-grounds parking) from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

State Fair organizers first held Fair Food & Tunes in 2020 when the Kansas State Fair had to be cancelled. It gave us an opportunity to have food fit for the state fair, listen to some live music, and shop many favorite fair vendors.

This year, they’ll have the giant slide open (yay!), live entertainment on the Lake Talbott stage, and an “open-air restaurant” with food vendors spread out across from the stage.

Again, there’s NO gate fee! Admission is free. Some free parking will even be available on the north side of State Fair Road, but you might want to bring $5 to cover the on-grounds parking fee in case no free parking is available – or if you just want to park a little bit closer. Attendants at the paid parking lot will help you park. Paid handicap parking will be available through Gate #3 (at 23rd and Main by Skaets), and free handicap parking will be available by Gate #5. They have a map at their website here.

Definitely also bring your chairs and/or blanket since the entertainment will be held in a park-like environment. You could even have a picnic with your fair food!

Fair Food & Tunes Menu

Food vendors will be located across from the stage They’ll have lots of locations for you to spread out and eat. Bathrooms will be open. Coolers are not allowed. Here’s what’s on the menu for Fair Food & Tunes:

  • Pronto Pups
  • Funnel Cakes
  • Kettle Corn
  • Philly Steak Sandwiches
  • Brisket
  • German Sausages
  • Brats
  • Adult Beverages

Fair Food & Tunes Entertainment

Entertainment begins at 11 a.m. at the Lake Talbot stage. Be sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs for seating on the grassy, park-like area near the lake. Here are some of the musical artists that will perform later during the event, beginning at 1 p.m.:
