Wichita Taste will be a food and entertainment celebration this weekend in downtown Wichita. All ages are welcome to this event.
This isn’t exactly cheap, but it’s not too bad considering you get the concerts and a bit of the food, too. I did just discover a tip for saving a little money if you found out about it at the last minute and missed the Advance Ticket Discount. (Buying tickets in advance saves you $10.)
They’ll have music, food and drink from local restaurants and breweries, distilleries, and wineries, and other activities, including a Kids Zone.
It’s a two-day festival, beginning Friday, September 28 and finishing up Saturday, September 29. The event description says they’ll have “more than 30 culinary establishments showcasing their very best dishes” along with live music concerts from Uncle Kracker, Jerrod Niemann, and Travis Martin.
To partake in that culinary deliciousness, though, you’ll need to buy your tickets, and possibly additional Food Tasting Tickets.
Ticket prices range from $25/$35 for General Admission to $75 for VIP access. Admission includes a limited number of Food Tasting Tickets, depending on which level you choose. General admission includes ten tasting tickets.
Children under 14 do get in free, so that’s nice!
If you wait too late for GA tickets, you’ll pay $35. However, I just read on the Downtown Wichita website here that if you go early on Saturday – between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. – you should be able to still get your General Admission tickets for $25. (If you have any questions you should ask them or someone from the Wichita Taste festival.)
Additional Food Tasting Tickets cost $15 for ten tickets. No word on how far ten tasting tickets will get you at the Wichita Taste Festival.
The Wichita Taste Festival will be held in the Coleman Parking Lot on St. Francis, between 1st and 2nd streets.
