The first-ever Vortex Music Festival will be held on the grounds of the Mid-America All-Indian Center – in view of Wichita’s iconic Keeper of the Plains – this week. It’s an urban camping music festival! Dwight Yoakam will be headlining and other national and regional acts will also perform.
Back in February, I told you about the early-bird ticket discounts. Now the price has gone up but tickets to the music festival and RV camping passes are still available.
If you want to camp, purchase the campers add-on package for $50, which includes a campsite for up to four people, a pancake and sausage breakfast, and Saturday morning entertainment.
The music starts Friday night, August 4 and continues through Saturday morning, August 5. They’ll have late-night activities including a midnight movie.
