Wichita State University Shocker Rowing hosts the 3rd annual Plains Regional Regatta on May 1, 2022 this year.
The racing will take place on the Big Arkansas River beginning at 8 a.m. They’ll race from just north of the Lincoln Street Bridge to 1st Street Bridge.
Races are expected to continue until late afternoon, with a break for lunch.

Shocker Rowing Spring Schedule
It’s FREE for spectators to watch the rowing. Bring a lawn chair, some water, and set up on either the west bank of the river or the sidewalk of either bridge for a front-row view of the races.
Parking Tips
If you arrive in the morning, park near the Wichita Boathouse to get close to the start line. The Prairie Fire Marathon is happening that morning so some roads down by the river will be closed. In the afternoon, you can park in the Boats & Bikes upper level parking garage.
Plains Regional Regatta Live Stream
One of the goals of this event is to teach the community, friends, and family a little more about rowing. A great resource will be the commentators on the live stream. You’ll find that as well as the schedule and what teams are competing at www.wichita.edu/plainsregional
