The Ninnescah Sailing Association will be celebrating the end of the summer sailing season with fireworks at Cheney Lake. I haven’t seen it myself but it sounds like it will be an awesome event. Here’s what they say about it:
Kids and adults alike eagerly wait for the sun to set so the big show can start. Beginning at dusk sailboats will leave the dock to anchor just off shore while others will jockey for the perfect spot for their lawn chair in front of the activity center on the beach.
The event will be on the west shore of Cheney Reservoir, in Cheney State Park. The Facebook event page has exact GPS coordinates; be sure to check it out for more information.
The non-profit Ninnescah Sailing Association has been celebrating Labor Day with fireworks since 1995.
