FAMILY-FRIENDLY NEW YEAR’S EVE EVENTS
Chicken N Pickle‘s Ice Pond
1240 N Greenwich Road
- Chicken N Pickle‘s outdoor pond is available beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 31. Skating costs $11 per person; skate rental is $4. (Kids 3 and under Free.) Make sure you double-check the schedule before you go since this is an outdoor event. There may be weather-related changes or cancellations. Info here
Botanica Illuminations

- See Wichita’s largest light display on NYE!. If you haven’t been yet, you should go. It’s a fun, relaxed holiday walk through amazing festive light displays. Make sure you reserve your time slot online before arriving online!
Wichita Art Museum
1400 W. Museum Blvd
- Visit our local art museum for Family ArtVenture: New Year’s Cheer. Finish out 2022 with timely artmaking activities, music, hourly countdown celebrations, and more. Make some noise to cheer in the new year! The best part? IT’S FREE! Visit their website for details
The Arcade

- Open for some old-school fun from 1 p.m. to midnight on New Year’s Eve. The cost is $10 for unlimited play all day or $8 for kids 10 and younger. Pinball is just 50 cents! Visit their website for hours and details
Field Station Dinosaurs
2999 N Rock Rd
- Join the fun as Field Station rings in the New Year with a day-long celebration of dinosaurs from around the world! See interactive dinos and learn about them with games, hands-on activities, and music. Included are festive noisemakers, party hats, and a kid-friendly bubbly toast when the clock strikes twelve. The Alley

- Start off 2023 with a strike! This bowling alley is offering fantastic specials all day long on New Year’s Eve including unlimited bowling and some great family packages during the day and adult packages in the evening to ring in the new year. Info here.
Carousel Skate Center

- This Skate Center will have family skating available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Their entertainment facility features a large arcade, live DJ, concession stand, skate rink and, not to mention, Wichita’s largest indoor playground! Visit their website for details

- Not exactly a cheap event, these tickets start at $500! It serves as a Fundraiser for the Mark Arts facility and art education mission. Cosmos NYE Celebration will have guests travel through the Cosmos to welcome the New Year. Information
