This April, Heartspring will hold its “second” 10th Annual Autism CARE Walk (last year’s was cancelled because of inclement weather), which is a FREE event for families and individuals impacted by autism.
The walk, which brings together thousands of autism advocates to raise awareness and funds for individuals in our community impacted by autism, will be held this year on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the WaterWalk in downtown Wichita.
The event will include a 1.5 mile walk, local resource fair, food trucks, and more. Activities open at 9 a.m. and the walk itself begins at 10 a.m.
Registration is free, and anyone can walk. You can join a friend’s team, start your own, or donate. T-shirts are $10. (The t-shirt is not required to participate, and fundraising is optional, but of course encouraged!)
Learn more about the CARE Walk at www.autismcarewalk.com or call (316) 634-8812.
“With one in 68 children being diagnosed with autism, our walk brings the ever-growing number of those impacted together to advocate while raising funds for the Heartspring Autism Services program.”
