The Chimera Effect is an art installation by Sean Christopher Ward that will be open to the public for one night only on Friday, January 27 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The installation is “an experiment of new techniques by the artist and their effects on the viewers.” Viewers walk into a darkened room with only colors to lead their way. After leaving the installation, viewers will talk to researchers who will ask questions about how the art made you feel.
The event is free for everyone and will be held at the HUE Gallery of Contemporary Art at 430 S. Commerce Street, Suite 200, in downtown Wichita. Only 40 people at a time can get into the exhibit; then as one person leaves, the next person can go in.
Be sure to arrive early if you want to be in the initial group. LoLo’s Crepes food truck will be set up outside so you can get something to eat while you wait.
