Vanya Designs will host a Final Friday exhibit this month featuring the work of local photographer Aaron Patton, along with live music by D.J. Carbon. Admission is free to the event, which will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017.
The exhibit, Shapes, was inspired by the costume and lighting design work of French cabaret-runner Alain Bernardin. The photographs in the collection feature black and white photos of women overlaid with shadow patterns. Of the work, Patton says, it is “careful not to objectify, but to instead celebrate the beauty in form and to then distill form into shape.”
Prints will be available to purchase at the show. For more information and to RSVP, visit the event listing on Facebook.
