ICT Soup and Harvester Arts will host a screening of a mini-documentary about Wichita’s very first amusement park.
For Your Amusement: The Wonderland Park on Ackerman Island will be screened on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Harvester Arts. It begins at 4 p.m.
The documentary was put together by Sara Joy Harmon, who was a winning presenter at a previous ICT Soup crowdfunding dinner. She used the funds she received for the documentary and is one of their success stories.
Following the screening, you can stay if you’d like for the Creative Crowdfunding Dinner, which is by donation. Here’s a brief description of the event:
“ICT Soup is creative crowdfunding dinner series held at Harvester Arts. For a small donation (suggested: $10 or more/ $5 or more for students), dinner guests evaluate pitches for up to five creative projects. After short presentations and a question-and-answer period, everyone votes for their favorite proposal over a dinner of delicious homemade soup, bread, and dessert. The winner of the most votes takes 100% of the money collected at the door.”
The ICT Soup dinner portion of the event is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Vegan, gluten free, and paleo friendly options will be available. Children are welcome, though the program may challenge the attention span of little ones.
ICT Soup is a laid back affair; please dress however you feel most comfortable.

Harvester Arts is located at 215 N. Washington Avenue in Wichita.
