For longtime Wichitans who are still getting used to the idea of a $10 Riverfest button (still a steal, by the way, in my opinion), there’s good news! You can get a special earlybird discount of $3 off each adult button when you purchase them in advance.
The Wichita River Festival is Wichita’s biggest party, lasting ten days and centered on the downtown river area. It includes live concerts and other entertainment, fun activities for kids and adults, and festival food. In 2016, Riverfest takes place June 3 through June 11.
The discounted Riverfest buttons will be available for $7 each beginning with the launch party at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 11 at the Cox Solutions Store, 466 S. Ridge Road. Mayor Jeff Longwell and Admiral Windwagon Smith XLIII (Steve Dillard) will be first in line to pick up their buttons. They must appreciate a good deal as much as we do!
If you can’t make it to the launch, you still have until May 5, 2016 to pick up Riverfest buttons for $7 at the following locations in Wichita:
- Cox Solutions Stores:
- 2240 N. Rock Road
- 446 S. Ridge Road
- 2556 N. Maize at New Market Square
- Derby: 1636 N. Rock Road
- El Dorado: 101 E. 12th Avenue
- Newton: 417 N. Windward
- Wichita Festivals, 444 E. William, Wichita
- Intrust Bank Arena box office, 500 E. Waterman, Wichita
Child Riverfest buttons will be $3 again this year, whenever you buy them (either in advance or at the gates), which is a great deal!
