Tot Tuesdays at the Sedgwick County Zoo’s Cargill Learning Center are FREE educational programs held on the fourth Tuesday of every month. The zoo has teamed up with the Wichita WATER Center, Exploration Place, and other Wichita-area museums to present this free event for preschool-age children.
Each half-hour session is free and designed for children 3-5 years old, although siblings are also welcome. To participate, just go to the Cargill Learning Center before 10:30 a.m.
Here’s a partial schedule for 2015:
Dec 23 Tue – No Class due to holiday
Jan 27 Tue – It’s Cold Outside
Feb 24 Tue – Turtles
Mar 24 Tue – Salamanders
Pre-registration is not required. For more information, visit the Sedgwick County Zoo website here.
If you’re looking for more free and inexpensive events or activities for preschoolers and other kids, check out the Kid-Friendly tab at the top of this page and the Cheap This Week calendar.
The Wichita WATER Center offers free story times, area home improvement centers often have free crafts for kids on the weekends, the Great Plains Nature Center is always free and has lots of activities, and of course the Wichita Public Library keeps kids busy with numerous free programs and events.
