Chalk Art Festival in WichitaOn Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, Youthville is having Chalk ART Festival in Wichita’s Old Town Square.

The Chalk Art Festival is FREE and will feature live demonstrations from 40 artists including, Ethan Patrick Harris, illustrator, and Jacki McElroy-Wood, caricature artist. Kids can make their own sidewalk chalk art and participate in other children’s activities. There will also be live music from Jenny Wood and the Watchers and the Tom Page Band, and various booths set up in the square.

Several Old Town merchants will also collect donations of kid-friendly art supplies during the event.

The artists’ finished pieces will be on display through September 22, 2012. The pieces will be auctioned off on Friday, August 31 to raise funds for Youthville’s EAC.
