If you missed the free g2g kids’ fishing clinic in May, don’t worry. It was canceled due to rain, and they’ve rescheduled it! Here’s the info I received in an email from them:
The May g2g Fishing event was cancelled due to rain. We are going to try again on Wednesday, June 27 from 5:30-7p at the Great Plains Nature Center. The Kansas Dept of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism will provide poles and bait. Please register at www.g2gfishing.eventbrite.com. It’s a free event, but registration is requested. Thanks!
You won’t need poles or any other fishing equipment for this free event. On Wednesday, May 30, 2012, g2g Outside will have a free Family Fishing Night at the Great Plains Nature Center, 6232 E 29th Street North. It’s practically a guarantee that every kid will catch a fish. The event goes from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m., but showing up a few minutes early is probably a pretty good idea if you can do it. For more about the event or to ask questions, visit the g2g Outside events page.
Note: Wear sturdy shoes – not flip-flops.
