June 2nd and 3rd, 2012 are free fishing days in Kansas. Anyone can fish those days without a license!
If you catch the right fish, you could even win some money. That’s part of Cabela’s “Wanna Go Fishing for Million$?” promotion. They’ve tagged fish and sent them swimming in Kansas reservoirs.
If you’re signed up for the program and you catch one of the specially tagged fish, you can redeem at Cabela’s for prizes and cash. They say there’s even a $1 million fish out there somewhere.
These are the lakes stocked with prize-winning fish: Milford Reservoir, Glen Elder Reservoir, Cheney Reservoir, Cedar Bluff Reservoir, Hillsdale Reservoir, Clinton Reservoir, El Dorado Reservoir
