The Power of Words: Stories with Dylan Pritchett at Kansas African-American Museum

Kansas African-American Museum Storytelling with Dylan PritchettStoryteller Dylan Pritchett will entertain and educate all ages on Friday evening, February 3 at The Kansas African-American Museum at 601 N. Water in Wichita. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the performance begins at 7 p.m.

Admission is free. This event is part of the Wichita Public Library’s African-American History Month Celebration.

Two other storytelling performances are scheduled in Wichita with Pritchett on Saturday, February 4:

  • 1:30 p.m. at the Angelou Northeast Branch Library, 3051 E. 21st, 688-9580
  • 3:30 p.m. at the Rockwell Branch Library, 5939 E. 9th, 688-9361Pritchett will also conduct a storytelling workshop Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the Angelou Northeast Branch Library. (Registration required - call 688-9580.)

    Luca Italian Kitchen Groupon, hidden in a secret location behind Clicky the Value Wheel, is good for $20 worth of upscale Italian food, and it will only cost you $10.

    Wok Hey, a new restaurant in Wichita, is also offering diners a percent-off discount with this coupon.

    Red Beans Bayou Grill and Bar is serving up the Cajun (and the Tex-Mex) at a discount with this Wichita Perks $10 for $20 deal.

    A Playa Azul coupon up at 360Wichita is good for 10% off at multiple locations.

    Take 80% off Restaurant.com certificates when you use the coupon code DATE. Hmm. Might give husbands some good ideas. The promotion is valid at several Wichita restaurants.

    Felipe’s coupons aren’t always easy to come by, but 360Wichita has a couple for the two west-side Felipe’s locations.

    This Winchell’s Donuts coupon gets you Buy One, Get One Free breakfast sandwiches. That’s a good thing to go with your donut. Not going there for breakfast? Then use this Winchell’s coupon for BOGO deli sandwiches for lunch or dinner.

    Mead’s Corner has a coupon! Buy 1 medium espresso coffee, get 1 free. Wowza. I’d pay full price for that coffee, and that’s saying something. If you haven’t been to Mead’s yet, use this coupon to try it.

    Marble Slab Creamery coupon valid at the North Rock Road location is good for a free small cone when you buy a small cone.

    Get a Fazoli’s Coupon good for a free baked spaghetti with purchase of a side Chopped Salad and drink when you “Like” Fazoli’s on Facebook.

    Want Panda Express coupons? Choose from a free entree of your choice when you buy any 2-entree plate, or take 10% off any purchase at Panda Express.

    IHOP has a coupon for a FREE Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner with purchase of 1 Entree & 2 drinks.

    Charlie’s Pizza Taco is hoping to be as big a hit in Wichita as it is in Pratt, according to Carrie Rengers. Pay just $9 for $18.50 worth of food to see what all the fuss is about.

    Thanks to Deal Detecting Diva, I just found out we can get a 12-pack of Dr. Pepper for only $1.99 at Target. (Prices may vary from store to store, but the picture above is from a Wichita Target store.)

    First, get your coupon for $1 off a 12-pack of canned soda (picture shows 7-Up, but it’s good on any canned soda). Then visit your nearest target and hope that the shelves aren’t cleared of this cheap DP. :) These good deals do tend to go fast.
